Typical
end-of-season affair with not much to play for but the sheer pleasure of playing
petanque.
WHPC sprinted into a 2 nil lead, then...... we unleashed out secret
weapon... SHIRLEY!!!
Danny and Shirley have not played at all this winter so as the weather was clement and both of them biting at the bit, we decided, with WHPC's permission, to let slip the bunny's of war. Glad we did, for we won 2 from the last four games and it should have been 3 if the captain had not missed and easy point when leading 12 to 9.
Last match coming up against Vintage Tram who themselves had a decent match agin table-topping Strand.
